Q.1) How do I join the Club?
A.1) Once you have decided that you want to join the Club, you can sign up and be playing straight away. There is no playing in test for tennis or squash but you must have a gym assessment before you can use the gym.
Q.2) What do I need to wear?
A.2) Tennis - on both the grass and hard courts, you can wear any colour of recognised tennis clothing. You must wear tennis shoes to protect your feet and the tennis courts. Trainers must not be worn on the grass courts.
Squash - comfortable clothing with non-marking squash shoes.
Gym - comfortable clothing and suitable indoor shoes.
Q.3) Can I get coaching?
A.3) Yes, you can have both Tennis coaching and Squash coaching. There are individual and group sessions available. In the gym you can have personal training sessions. Coaching and personal training are at an extra charge.
Q.4) What sort of age are the Members?
A.4) All ages from 5 years to 95 years.
Q.5) How do I join the leagues?
A.5) Squash - sign up on the board by the squash courts. Come along to a Saturday social session from 5.30pm to meet other players and assess your standard.
Tennis - Sign up on the Tennis League notice board by the shop.
Q.6) I would like a re-assessment in the gym, how do I go about it?

Q.7) When do the grass courts come into play?
A.7) We try to bring in the grass courts in early May depending upon the weather and the state of the courts.
Q.8) Why is this Club called a non-profit making members club?
A.8) The Club is run not to make a profit for directors, but is run for the members. All profits are pumped back into the club.
Q.9) How do I change my membership category?
A.9) Contact the Club for more information.
Q.10) How do I purchase tickets for the International Tennis Tournament?
A.10) Contact the booking hot line for The Surbiton Trophy on 020-8399-1594.
Q.11) How do I volunteer to help at the tournament?
A.11) Fill out a form from the Club and return it A.S.A.P.
Q.12) Social Events - do you organise these?
A.12) Yes : discos, bbqs, theme nights, suppers, dinner dances and many other fun evenings. Purchase the tickets through the Club.
Q.13) I have joined the Club on my own, how do I meet others of my standard?
A.13) Come along to tennis club sessions on Saturday afternoon or Monday evenings. Squash Club night is on Saturday night. Sign up to the squash and tennis leagues. Also keep an eye on the notice boards for other social events.
Q.14) How do I play in the teams?
A.14) Contact Roy Staniland for the tennis teams and Michael Hennings for the squash teams.
Q.15) Can I bring guests to the Club?
A.15) Yes, you can. If they are playing guests, they must be signed in and paid for before play. Social guests must be signed in on entry to the Club. The visitors' book is behind the bar.
Q.16) Where do I park when I use the Club's facilities?
A.16) Please park on the Club side of the road. There is also a bike rack inside the grounds.
