Mini Tennis

Mini tennis especially designed for young players. Children learn how to play tennis on smaller courts with low bouncing balls and simple scoring. Players move through the levels of Red, Orange and Green when they are able to cope with a bigger court, bigger racket and faster ball. This structured programme consists of term-time squads for those who want to commit to play. Regular feedback reports keep parents updated on their child's progress. These squads are paid for on a term basis. Signing on is necessary and sizes of the classes are restricted.

In each Orange and Green class, 45 minutes will be tennis based and 45 minutes geared around developing skills such as movement, balance, co-ordination and agility.

Full court tennis squads are designed for older juniors aged 11-16 years who want to take their tennis up a notch. Players learn on a full court with regular scoring. Full court tennis embraces all standards; players work on improving their technique and developing their tactical awareness for both singles and doubles.

All of the Mini Tennis Red classes will be taken indoors. All of the other classes will be taken indoors and outdoors. Please can all players bring the following item to each class :

racket (these can be borrowed from the Coaching Team or bought from the club shop),
appropriate clothing for indoors & outdoors,
a bottle of water,
plenty of effort & energy levels!
